Friday (5th august) 1st day

Our 7.10am flight got delayed to 9.20am for some techinical reasons so we had to wait, which made cris anxious. He’s never a big fan of flying, he looked nervous, no? had a small sandwich which cost me whooping 5 bucks…darn….money hard to earn u know…

Finally its our time to fly, well just checking out the wings…..ehhh they say technical problem mahhh…..i also abit kanceong….but the wing seems kua…
Arrive in KLIA around 11.30am, quite late already, I need to collect my robe as soon as possible…..later they say no more robe I ma die….

robe still got but left with S size and I look like a total dumb-ass in S size…must change it

well I rush down to melaka and good thing still manage to get my robe….butttttt………..tak ade saiz lagi laa…...they gave me S size……S size???? Apa??see how silly I look in S size…..
bunny: hi, I’m here to collect my robe…my name is bunny(not my real name of course!!)
malay girl: mm..ok…tunggu ya
bunny: ok thank you
malay girl: we tak ada size lagi la…tinggal S saje
bunny: haa?? What?then how ?
malay girl: kita orang kena datang lagi pagi esok, kami boleh order kat branch kat KL
bunny: ohhh can can,where?what time?
Malay girl: esok pergi dewan seri negeri, collect between 630am to 830am
Bunny: ok thanks

So I took my S size robe, knowing it won’t fit but well out of curiosity I tried it and I look like a clown.
This year, for the 1st time ( I think la) our names will be called and display in the screen when we go up the stage, I know last year no names were called or displayed….i guess someone complained and the university came up with a smart idea…..they manage to get more money from us again if we want our names called and displayed…here’s how it works:
you need a working student ID card….or a IC (with touch n go)….swipe your card at the reader and the computer automatically reads out and display your name….pretty neat ehhh…..here’s the thing….if your student ID card does not work ( which most of our student ID card don’t) or your IC does not come with touch n go (mine don’t have, yours have? See ler…got?) then you need to purchase a “convo card” nice name by the way….and use it for that purpose…..if not, they won’t let you go on the stage…

have your name display and mentioned when u’re up the stage………priceless

so, I happily paid the 20 bucks and got my “convo card”, money well spent, good job bunny….*sob*sob*

Stayed in the emperor hotel melaka, not bad the hotel just a little old tats all….good view too, will be staying alone for the 1st night….kinda scary….

We had sort of a reunion dinner with my friends, BEI ZHAN’s the place. We later went to daniel’s new house to gamble( yea yea u must be thinking haa gamble?…..we got nothing else to do wat!!) well I lost around 30 bucks…..its official!!! I’ll never win in gambling….
Well got back to my hotel, my friends came along too….they say wanna accompany me worr cause if stay alone in hotel sure will get scared…ok ok honestly I am a little scared…hehe we talked and gamble again thru the night….i didn’t get my sleep…had to go change my stupid S size robe in the hall at 630am….

Saturday 2nd day
Went with poh to the hall and reach around 640am( I know it seem we are kiasu like tat but ehhh I look silly in S size robe ok!!)met ahcheng there, he also want to change his robe….he got a L size and wanna change to XL……

ahcheng and poh, me and poh wanna change our robe so that we don’t look silly, ah cheng wanna change because he can’t even button the robe…kolian

if you think the drama ends there then you are wrong……we got ripped off…..nobody even turned up to help us change our robe….we waited till 730am……bloody hell….they all bluff us…

unsatisfied customer…..

went to the hall like 6 something in the morning and to discover we got ripped off it does not feel good at all……see how pissed poh look…hehe
but then yongshen agreed to change his robe with me, he wants a S size and I want a L size but he got a M size, aiyaa better than nothing laa….correct not?
Got back to the hotel feeling exhausted, didn’t sleep at all the whole night….i tried to get some sleep but just cannot….can’t explain why…well I manage to dip myself into the bathtub filled with warm water…..aaaahhhhhhh feel so comfortable….
Expecting to be at the hall again at 11am, its my ex-coursemate’s convo ceremony, didn’t feel like going at all…but well what the heck…..haven’t talk to them for like 4 years…or was it 5? Also I have to meet up with cris there, he went to KL the day before.

man I was very tired, I pratically had to dragged myself out of the hotel, drove the car to the convo…which by the way I must thank poh for borrowing his car to me…..thanks buddy...

The convo was packed, filled with people that I don’t know, that I think I’ve never seen before….kinda strange, to study at the same UNI and feel that I have not seen these people before……I must be anti-social or what….weirdo

teekok decides to have a show-down with the authorities of the uni…he said the card is too expensive and wants a refund( why buy in the 1st place?? I also duno)
I think this is how the conversation goes ( if I remember it correctly la)
Teekok: saya nak kasi lefund boleh?
Malay lady: kenapa?
Teekok: saya nak guna smart kat, boleh?
Malay lady: kalau nak refund kena ada resit
Teekok:saya tak bawa la
Malay lady: kena ada resit dik, smart card kamu ada touch n go?
Teekok: *retrieving his smart card from wallet* ehh tak ada la
Malay lady: kalau macam tu tak boleh la dik, kena ada touch n go baru boleh pakai
Teekok: ………….ok

Well that’s so much of a show-down….though he gonna open a can of whoop-ass but the conversation lasted for less than a minute….disappointed ~

In the afternoon, went out bought some stuff and went back to the hotel….had our dinner at beef soup stall….my favourite stall during my time in melaka…
Well tomolo is my big day…I need to look good for the chicks….so got me self a facial treatment….

Sunday 3rd day
Finally today is my convo….woke up around 530 in the morning…..feeling so so cold, the room is freezing, my blood almost froze inside me…anyhuu…got myself ready,put on my convo attire and off I go…I somehow can relate my convo attire to darth vader’s outfit….can you?

got to the hall fairly early in the morning….got me final testing of the card and yup its working well….

we waited and waited and waited….faster le….very hot wearing this u know

Jolly….finally can get in the hall….the seats are so so close together…..i think my butt nearly got attached to my friend’s butt who is sitting next to me…..gosh….quite disturbing having that image in my head…..anywho…it was rather boring throughout the ceremony…..Dr.Siti Hasmah gave the longest speech ever….in english…..in malay…..well….we entertain ourself by laughing at the funny name of the people who got up the stage…..we had a good laugh when we heard the name “chin ka cheng” do you get it??? If don’t then ask me…hehe

cole has arrived and I’ve arranged her to meet up with cris and fel, very happy that she came all the way from KL to my convo….thank you thank you…not much changes from the last time I saw her…which was more or less a year ago….

later on we went for lunch together….had this famous hainanese chicken rice ball…..pretty good…missing all the good food in melaka already….
After having lunch and dessert, cole had to go already….we wave a tearful(ok ok..maybe there were no tears but still…..) goodbye and we parted…..

That pretty much concluded my convo….there is this 4 little words that I said the most
during this trip, everyone guess……and it is…..”long time no see”, I practically said this to almost everyone that I see.
The convo all in all was okay….happy to be able to meet with my uni mates again, happy to get well wishes from friends, very happy that cole attended my convo..hehe…happy, and of course happy that cris and fel came all the way from kch to attend my convo….thanks to all of you…
