Obedience training 1

Know your boundary

Ranger has started her obedience training in hopes that she will be obedient, obviously. Of course, in everything you do, you gotta do it step by step and especially in dog training, you got to do it step by step and with alot of patience and energy( i will explain why u need alot of energy later). the 1st training i implemented on her is the "know your boundary" training, and that is...........enter the house : "NO !!!!" stay out of the house : "good dog!"

the trainee:Ranger

the training "equipment":Rotan

success!! she don't dare to come in anymore

more success picture

and yes, more success picture

The secret of the success lies in the "equipment" used. A very high tech and sophisticated disciplin "equipment", the rotan was used. The technique is to spank her whenever she enters the house, but remember, you must say NO!! at the same time, so that she knows how to associate NO= rotan. So far i still need to say NO!! plus rotan, sooner or later i think a NO!! will suffice.
Ranger is a smart dog, and she runs fast, that is where the energy comes in, u need to be quick with ur feet and accurate with your hand, cause she can run...very fast i must add, my mom has problem trying to spank her, cause she's too quick for my mom, but i'm still doing OKAY, i still manage to spank her 8 out of 10 tries (approximate).
stay tune for the next phase of training.....

NS dodger

read this on the paper yesterday, a 18 year old kid from perlis got selected for the NS programme, for those who is not familiar with NS, it is the National Service. He was selected, but he didn't go because he has to stay back and work to support his family, his mother is old, she wash dishes for 150 a month, this kid works in the padi field for 30 bucks a day, so he's badly needed at home to support his family( he still has 2 younger siblings, his father left them). So he was taken to court, and fined 600 bucks for dodging NS, but he's got no money, so he was sentenced to jail, poor kid, so now wat's the moral of the story?? this really evoke some sympathy, but our Menteri has already said last time, no one will be spared from the punishment if one dodge the training. according to a report, perlis umno ppl offered to pay the 600 fine. it's so contradicting, the whole idea of the punishment is to make sure ppl don't dodge the training and now yet ppl from the government offer to pay the fine for dodging the training. I think the whole random selection system is the problem, NS selection is still based on computer;s random selection. I think the government need to fix this. Don't you?

Ranger updates

She's getting bigger, naughtier and harder to control. Cry and whine over everything. Close her in the cage, she whine, let her out but i close the house door, she whine, preparing her food but not yet give her, she whine. Also, she's starting to bark more and more often, bark at her own cage, bark at my sunflower, bark at the shoe, she's crazy! she's fussy about her food, she don eat her biscuit but wants to eat home cook ( we have to purposely cook for her).
still she's adorable and lovely, went for injection last week, she took it pretty well. Going for another jab next month. Will get new pictures of her eventhough it's not easy, she's very curious about the camera.
